MELISSA THINGELSTAD

Originally from Saskatchewan, Melissa received her BFA in Acting from The University of Alberta and now considers Edmonton home. Recently, Melissa performed the one woman production of Kawaisoo (The Pity of Things) for Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em Productions at the 2007 Edmonton International Fringe Festival. Selected theatre credits include: Shoe! (Vault: Theatre of Invention), After The Fall (Studio Theatre), Crime Against Humanity (University of Alberta), Unwrap Your Candy (Interfear Arts Festival), Play Strindberg (Image Theatre), Electra, The Beaux’ Stratagem, and The 7 Dwarves (Studio Theatre), Henry V and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rivercity Shakespeare Festival). She directed simple gifts at the 2005 Edmonton Fringe Festival and remounted it in 2006 at the Capital Fringe in Washington, DC. In 2008, Melissa will be collaborating with Kathleen Weiss again in a new solo creation that she is performing, writing and producing for the Indie 5 season in Edmonton, Alberta.
